                            HALEN EARNS ANOTHER TOP 5

Saturday started out with a fast, two groove heat race and a good racing surface. But, by feature time, the track had transformed into a one lane, on the bottom, slick racing surface. The pole cars pulled away in their respective classes, and in the stock class, Halen worked from his 4th place outside row 2 grid position to get on the bottom and settle in for a fifth place finish. Halen will be off for two the next weekends, as the Miami County 4-H Fair roles into Peru.

HALEN ONE - MOTHER NATURE ZERO!

Saturday, the Racing Gods were smiling on Peru, as NO rain fell in the middle of a flood ravaged Indiana? Halen showed Mother Nature how much he appreciated her kindness by claiming his 4th feature win of the season. Coupled with his heat win and runner up dash finish, Halen should return to the points lead as he and Sam Kimmel trade the top spot back and forth on a weekly basis.

Racing returns to Peru June 14 at 7:00 p.m.
HALEN COMES FROM 13TH TO THE FRONT, TWICE!
On what was arguably the worst heat race surface of the year with all the rain that fell, the MiCRO team did a great job of bringing the track back to life for the features. Starting dead last, in 13th, Halen marched through the field using the top side, to finally pull inside the leader in one, only to have contact across the front of the car send him spinning to the infield. Not to be denied, Halen set sail from the tail one more time to the top and ended up an impressive 6th. (that's a total of 19 cars passed in the feature event!)  SEE YA NEXT WEEK!
HALEN DOUBLES UP ON MEMORIAL WEEKENDER!
Halen found Victory Lane Saturday night in the regular program feature, the "Denny Miller Memorial" as he lead all 30 laps for his second feature win of the year. Halen also took his heat race win earlier in the night. Sunday was a repeat performance for "SMOKE"  as he took another heat race win and followed up with a 1 lap to go pass for the win in the feature over Chris Knox who had lead from lap one. Racing returns to Peru next Saturday.

CONGRATULATIONS TO SHANE COTTLE ON HIS LITTLE 500 WIN SATURDAY NIGHT!
HALEN WINS THE DENNY MILLER MEMORIAL ON SATURDAY
HALEN AND CREW IN VICTORY LANE SUNDAY NIGHT!
HALEN SETTLES FOR SIXTH

On Saturday, the night started out fast in hot laps, with Halen turning times in the low 11:30's! But as the night went on, the left rear shock was going away. Halen battled the ever tighter race car during the feature and settled in for a sixth place finish. Look for the Fatheadz.com #36s back up front next week! Congrats to Sam Kimmel on a very impressive win!

HALEN WINS MICRO SEASON OPENER
In the #36s Crume Evans Insurance, Hoosier Tire, Fatheadz.com, Red-E Oil, Trailerwiz.com, Speedy Pawn machine, Halen claimed the Miami County Speedway season opener in convincing style. Taking the lead from his outside pole position, "Smoke" put the pedal down and never looked back Saturday night. The groove was up top in turns one and two, and that's where Halen did most of his work in traffic, but had to stay low in 3 & 4!. The next race is in Peru, on Saturday night.

Congratulations to Braxton Hanft one his Restrictor feature win Saturday night!

Halen qualifies on Friday night 24th out of 52 cars
HALEN RUMBLES IN FT. WAYNE
Over the Christmas vacation, Halen traveled to Ft. Wayne for the 10th Annual Rumble event. Friday found Halen qualifying 24th quick out of 52 cars his first time out, and then took 5th in his heat after running as high as third, before a turn 2 wreck sent him back to 10th. Later, he finished 6th in the second B-Main and did not transfer to the 18 car A-Main. Saturday the car was fast in practice, but bicycled in qualifying, and broke the oil pan when the car sat back down on the track. The lap was good for 26th quick, but Halen would not see any more action Saturday night.
